A twelve-book multiverse epic. Two sagas. One song.

Twelve books and a novella across two sagas and six worlds. Each world runs on a different genre. Saga I follows the first six chosen as the Codex wakes after three centuries of silence. Saga II picks up a generation later, when the world the first six built turns out not to be the world they thought they were building.
The register stays constant across all twelve books: Le Guin and Ishiguro at sentence level. Le Guin doing political fantasy in Book 1. Ishiguro doing cyberpunk in Book 2. Shirley Jackson doing cosmic horror at the saga's hinge. Voice is the saga. Genre is the costume.
Six worlds plus a seam. The genre is not a coat of paint. The plot machinery of each book runs on its world's logic. An Antivale chapter cannot be solved with a sword fight. A Virelai-9 chapter cannot be solved by hacking a system.

Virelai-9. Steampunk industrial. Brun Ironwright works in the underground forges on a device he was told never to finish. When the Codex answers his hammer, a workers' rising he did not start finds its name.
Nexus Kythara. Space opera. A covenant binds a hundred worlds together with oaths that span generations. Nyra Brightblade is a paladin who has quietly buried her faith. The Codex chooses her at the edge of a system the covenant was never written for.
The Empyrean Cities. Urban fantasy noir. Cassian Voll sees more than anyone else in the city and has spent his life pretending he doesn't. The Codex picks him for the lie. Lyra crosses worlds to reach him.
Thornwick. Gothic horror at saga scale. All six chosen converge for the first time. The cult that has been waiting for this ending for centuries is in position. So is the man who has been their enemy across every book.
A short novel that bridges the two halves. One viewpoint, quieter than the books on either side. Reads cold from the end of Saga I.
Lyra alone, in the long years after Saga I closes. The Faded Court goes quiet. Then the lullaby that ran through the first six books begins to surface in mouths that should not know it.
A generation after the first saga. The world the original six built is not the world they thought they were building. The new chosen come from the gaps the first six left behind. What they inherit is not what they were promised, and the cost of finishing what their predecessors started is not the cost their predecessors paid.
Aerros, a generation later, and not the same. New chosen surface in worlds the first six never reached. The lullaby shows up in mouths that should not know it.
Antivale, again. Velra's daughter, born after the saga ended, learns what her mother carried and what it cost. The city remembers now. The price the histories did not mention shows up in her mother's old code.
Virelai-9, again. Brun's most dangerous invention, the Compassion Engine, has gotten loose in the multiverse, and someone has begun to weaponize it. The original builder has been gone for thirty years. His apprentice has not.
Nexus Kythara, again. The covenant is broken. Voids have opened where the old oaths used to hold. The order that rebuilt the system after Saga I would have refused the people who have to remake it now.
The Empyrean Cities, again. The reveal book. Cassian's old sight returns to a child who does not yet know what to do with it. Several of the faces the saga has trusted turn out to have been the wrong faces all along.
Thornwick, again, at saga scale. The mentor who has watched and waited since Book 1 stops waiting. The multiverse decides what it wants to keep, and what to let go.
